The day after we returned from Disneyland was Jillian’s actual birthday. I’m still sort of in denial that my baby is 3 already. The first thing she said when she woke up that morning was, “DADDY! Is today my birthday??”
At 10am, Bubbie, Jake, Dulcie, and all of her friends arrived for a little mid-morning cupcake party. Thanks to the Kemps we had a bounce house and bubble machine to enjoy in the backyard, too! Then, we destroyed a puppy piñata and devoured some cupcakes before opening all of the sweet and thoughtful gifts from her friends.
Just before naptime, we headed over to the store to pick out a birthday balloon and some “pink” ice cream. While she was sleeping, Grandpa arrived and assembled a playhouse in the backyard. What a surprise when she woke up! She loves to sucker grown people into entering her teeny tiny house and especially enjoys the doorbell, mailbox, and phone!
Uncle Joshua and Auntie Whitney joined us for dinner. We made pizzas and topped off the evening with a chocolate cake that Jillian decorated herself – nothing better than mound of sprinkles, right? She opened more gifts from Uncle Joshua and Auntie Whitney and Jake & Dulcie. Then, we were treated to a fashion show in all of her new princess dresses and she even asked Daddy to be her prince. It was a very fun day!
Happy Birthday, Jillian! We love you so much! We’re so blessed to have you in our family.
xoxo,
Daddy and Mommy
