First Day of School

Yes, those are my car keys in her hand. No, she did not drive herself to school.

Today was Jillian's first day of school at Tiny Tots "mommy and me" preschool. It meets a couple of days a week over at the scout hall at the park. She's been asking me when she can go to "pink school" (preschool) for a few weeks now.

When we got there we met her teacher, Miss Stevie. The kids had some time to play with the toys before Miss Stevie called us over to circle time for some letters, numbers, colors, calendar, poems, and stories. Jillian loved every bit of circle time. Next, we moved over to the table for art. Jillian did some coloring and painting with her friends Alexandria and Kellan. (They were all dressed in purple -- unplanned.) When they finished with art, Miss Stevie called them back over for some more stories and then we were all done. At that point, we said goodbye to Miss Stevie and headed over to the park to play for a while. In the car on the way home she cried and told me, "I want to go to school!"
